2. Das Wichtigste im Überblick

Einzelheiten dazu stehen in Abschnitt 7.

Rechtsgrundlage ist deine Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO, § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG).

Privacy Policy

This is a translation provided for convenience. The German version of this privacy policy is the legally binding one.

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you play ClaimLand (available at claimland.app), for what purposes, and what rights you have.

3. Hosting and backend (Google Firebase)

The app runs on Google Firebase (Firebase Hosting, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions), provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, part of Google LLC (USA). When you open the app, Google necessarily processes your IP address and standard server log data (time, requested files, browser identifier) to deliver the content and keep the service secure (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in technical operation). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR (Google Cloud Data Processing Terms) is in place. The game database and server logic run in the EU region europe-west1.

Error reports: If an unexpected program error occurs in the game, the app reports it to our server — at most five times per session. We store only the shortened error message (identifiers, coordinates and email addresses in it are removed first), the location in the program code, the app version and the browser family (e.g. “Chrome”), counted per calendar day. Your user ID, your IP address and your location are not stored; the entries cannot be linked to any account and are deleted after a few days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in finding and fixing errors quickly.

Where new accounts come from: If you open ClaimLand through a link with a channel tag (e.g. “claimland.app/?src=tiktok”) or through a link to which ChatGPT appends the source parameter utm_source=chatgpt.com or Product Hunt appends ref=producthunt, the app reports this tag to our server once, when a new account is created in the process. From this we count, per calendar day, how many new accounts came through which channel, separately for the browser and the app. Only these numbers are stored; on your account we note only the time of the count, not the channel. Your user ID and your IP address are not stored, nothing is placed on your device for this, and the apps do not read any tag. If you tap the Google Play button, we pass the tag in the link on to Google Play, which shows us aggregated install numbers per channel. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in knowing how new players find ClaimLand.

4. Account and sign-in (Firebase Authentication)

On your first visit, an anonymous guest account is created automatically (a random user ID, no name or email). You can optionally upgrade your guest account to a full account; in that case your email address and a password (stored by Google only in hashed form) are processed additionally. Legal basis: providing the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Firebase Authentication processes sign-in data partly on servers in the USA. This transfer is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (Google LLC is certified) and EU standard contractual clauses.

Sign-in with Google: Instead of an email address and password, you can also create your account with, or sign in with, a Google account. A Google page then opens (Google Ireland Limited, address as in section 3) where you sign in to Google; Google thereby learns that you are signing in to ClaimLand. Google then sends us your email address, whether Google has verified it, the name on your Google account and the address of your Google profile picture; Firebase Authentication stores this information on your account. Of this, we only use the email address and its verification status — we never display the name or the profile picture. An address verified by Google counts as verified with us, so no verification email is sent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to signing in to Google itself. If you delete your account, this information is deleted as well; you can additionally remove ClaimLand's connection in your Google account settings.

Sign-in with Apple (iPhone app only): In the iPhone app, you can also create your account with, or sign in with, your Apple Account. An Apple window then opens (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland) where you confirm the sign-in; Apple thereby learns that you are signing in to ClaimLand. Apple then sends us an identifier of your Apple Account that applies only to ClaimLand, and an email address: either your real one or, if you choose “Hide My Email”, a random address from Apple through which Apple forwards our emails to you. Firebase Authentication stores both on your account; the address counts as verified. The first time, Apple may also tell the app your name; we neither use nor store it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Apple's own privacy policy and terms apply to signing in to Apple itself. If you delete your account, you confirm this with Apple; we then revoke the sign-in with Apple via Firebase Authentication, so that ClaimLand disappears from your Apple Account settings, and delete the information on our side.

Google Play Games (Android app only): With an account, you can connect your Google Play Games profile to ClaimLand under Profile → My account. To do so, the app obtains a one-time code from Google, which lets our server learn the player ID of your Play Games profile from Google. We store this ID together with the time on your account so that a Play Games profile is only ever connected to one ClaimLand account. We do not store your Play Games name; the app only shows it on your device. While the connection exists, the app reports from your device to Google Play Games which medals you have earned (as achievements there) and the number of plots you have visited (for the leaderboard there); Google does not learn where these plots are. Who can see your achievements and leaderboard rank depends on the settings of your Play Games profile. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to Google Play Games itself. You disconnect under Profile → My account; we then delete the stored player ID, as we do together with your account or earlier on request (section 12).

When you upgrade to a full account, we ask you once whether you are 16 or older. Your answer is stored together with its timestamp; it determines whether you can consent to your player name being shown publicly (sections 5 and 13).

After upgrading to a full account, we send a verification email to the address you provided. We evaluate on your account whether the address has been verified, to prevent abuse and to make sure the address belongs to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — this is not advertising and requires no consent). Until verified, your account is subject to a lower cap on the number of plots you can own; the exact number is stated in the Terms of Use.

If you have forgotten your password, you can have a reset link sent to the same address. The legal basis is likewise Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (access to your account). In addition, we store the time of your most recent such request on your account in order to limit sending (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in preventing abuse). We do not disclose whether an account exists for an address you enter.

If you mistyped your address, or want to change it for any other reason, you can do so yourself in the game under Profile → My account. We then send the confirmation link to the new address; only your click there applies it, and until then your previous address stays on your account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; independently of this, you can request the rectification of inaccurate data at any time under Art. 16 GDPR, informally, via the channels in section 12. Here too we store the time of your most recent request on your account, together with the address requested, in order to limit sending and to detect a completed change (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Once a change has been completed, further changes are blocked for 90 days; a request you never confirmed blocks nothing — so you can correct a typo right away. This block does not affect your right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR.

How all three emails are sent: they are delivered by our email provider Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, address as in section 3) from kontakt@claimland.app; Firebase Authentication only generates the link they contain. Google Workspace processes your email address for this purpose, together with — as the salutation in the email — your player name, or otherwise the part of your address before the @ sign. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place (see also section 10); this processing may also take place on servers in the USA, safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Should this delivery exceptionally fail, Firebase Authentication sends the email directly instead — using Google's default English template, sent from a firebaseapp.com address.

News by email (newsletter): Only if you explicitly turn it on — when creating your account, in the name window right after, once via a notice card, or under Menu → Settings → Reminders — do we send news about ClaimLand (new features, events and offers, at most two emails a month) to your account's address. Nothing is turned on in advance, and your account works without it. Only accounts that have confirmed being 16 or older are asked; a yes given before that answer is remembered until you give it. We then send you a confirmation email; only your click on the page its link opens turns delivery on (double opt-in). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 7(2) no. 2 UWG). As proof we store on your account the status (yes, pending, no), where the yes came from, the time of the yes and of the confirmation, the address at confirmation, the language, the version of the text you agreed to and a hash of the confirmation link; we also count per day how many yeses, confirmations and unsubscribes there were (numbers only). Delivery is via Google Workspace as above. You can unsubscribe at any time under Menu → Settings or with the link in every email; withdrawal applies to the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). We keep the proof for as long as your account exists; deleting the account removes everything.

5. Location data (GPS)

Your real-world location is the core of the game. Location collection only starts after you grant the location permission in your browser or in the app, and only runs while the app is open.

6. Game and profile data

Stored with your account: player name, in-game currencies ("gold" and diamonds), level, counters (e.g. number of visited and owned plots), buildings you have constructed on your plots, a booked title and a booked name colour with their remaining duration, technical session data (e.g. active session for the one-device lock, online status), a random pseudonym (see below) and — for registered accounts — your age confirmation with its timestamp. Publicly visible, among other things: your player name with level on owned plots and — if you have a score there — in the leaderboards (most plots, most visits, largest net worth, i.e. the purchase value of your plots and buildings, and most countries with visited plots, as a number only): in the top 50 for everyone, outside of it in the “Your rank” view for players up to 24 places ahead of or behind you; and in the top-50 leaderboards per country (see section 5), there together with a booked title, a booked name colour and your chosen name style, if any. From level 5 you can buy, for individual plots and for gold, a label with your player name directly on the map (“Decorate”); it is shown only while name display (section 13) is switched on. At a higher level you can also save a crest you assemble yourself — a short code made of shield shape, division, colours and symbol, not an uploaded image — and show it on individual plots for diamonds; there it is visible to all players. For this we store, per plot, the chosen markers, the amount paid and the time of the last change. The number of online players is shown only as a total. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (game mechanics).

Inviting friends: your account has a random invite code. If someone redeems your code, we store — until the reward is paid out — who was invited by whom, plus two counters (how many invites were redeemed and how many were rewarded). The mapping is deleted as soon as the reward has been paid; the counters are plain numbers without names. None of this is visible to other players: whoever invited you does not learn who you are, and you do not learn their name. An invite code taken from a link is not stored (see section 9). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (game mechanics).

Offices per country: we consider everyone who has reached at least level 12. Among them, whoever owns the most plots in a country holds the office of “President” there, whoever owns the second most “Vice President”; places 3 to 10 receive the “Top 10” laurel from 50 plots in the country. We store with your account which office you hold in which country and which of them you want to show. An office is only displayed if you choose it yourself: other players then see a crown or a laurel with that country’s flag next to your name in the leaderboards and in the chat — which reveals the country you play in. A chat message keeps the badge from the moment it was sent. Offices are reassigned every hour; if you delete your account, they are removed as well. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (game mechanics).

Alliances: With an account you can join an alliance of up to five players from level 10 and found one from level 15. For this we store the alliance (name, tag, banner, time of founding, leader) with its members (player name, level, time of joining) and open invitations (player name, time, expiry after seven days). With your account we store your membership, invitations to you, declined invitations (for seven days, so the same alliance cannot invite you again straight away), whether you have turned invitations off, the time you left or were removed (for the one-day waiting period) and a short letter if you are removed from an alliance or it is dissolved; the letter is deleted once shown. The alliance and its members are visible only to its members, to whoever is currently invited (so you know whom you are joining) and to us as operator. Visible to everyone is only your alliance's tag, shown after your player name in chat and leaderboards. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (game mechanics).

Your plots in the alliance: Members of an alliance see on the map which plots belong to the other members – including newly bought ones – and can tell from this where you are or have been. To do so they may retrieve the list of your plots. This happens only with your consent, which you give by tapping “Join” or “Found” after the game has shown you exactly this (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by leaving the alliance (as leader also by dissolving it); from then on the others no longer see your plots. If you delete your account, you leave; if you were the last member, the alliance and its chat are dissolved.

Level 35 on request: we unlock level 35 personally. If you send a request for it in the game, we store with your account the time, the amount of gold and diamonds set aside for it, your game language and — if you write any — your lines to us (at most 300 characters; offensive words are masked as in the chat). We receive an email about it in our mailbox (section 10) with your player name, your level, the number of plots you have visited and own, your game language and your lines. We store our answer, an approval or a refusal, as a letter with your account; without an answer, the request counts as approved after seven days. Request and letter are visible only to you and are deleted with your account; we delete the email as described in section 10. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (game mechanics).

Pseudonym instead of user ID: we store your plots with a random identifier rather than your user ID, and that identifier allows no inference about your account. The identifier and its mapping exist only on the server and cannot be retrieved by clients; the map that everyone can read shows each plot with just a number that is valid only within one map section. Leaderboards and chat carry no such identifier at all — they show your player name and nothing else that ties back to your account. This means neither your plots in different areas nor your chat messages and your plots can be linked to each other through a shared identifier. If you have explicitly allowed your name to be shown on your plots, your player name itself is visible there; you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Abuse detection: your position is reported by your device and cannot be verified by the server. To detect automated play and manipulated location data, we therefore keep a small statistic per account and calendar day: the number of actions (of which visits and purchases), aggregate values for the reported GPS accuracy and for the intervals between actions, the total distance covered that day, how often your position changed faster than 60 km/h between two actions, the number of rejected actions, how many countries were added to your count in the “Countries” leaderboard that day (only the number, not which ones), and whether you play in the app (including its version number) or in the browser. We store sums only, never individual coordinates — no movement history can be reconstructed from them. These values never leave the server, are not visible to other players and are deleted automatically after 14 days. From these, from the creation date of your account and from your game data (level, first purchase, whether and how your account is secured and whether your email address is confirmed) we also count each day how many players were active and came back, how far new players got in their first week, how many plots players visit and buy in a day (only as a distribution across all players), how often actions were rejected, which daily tasks the game showed and how many players use the app or the browser; to see in which countries the game is played, we also assign the position last reported by your device to a country – only totals are stored, one number per country. In the same way we count at what times of day people play, how long play sessions last, how long players stay, how long they stay on a level (for this we keep the time of your last level-up with your game data), after how many days of play and with how much gold and diamonds in their account they reach a level, at which level and after how many days of play they stop, delete their account or lose their notifications, which windows, tutorial steps, notifications and reward videos are opened in the game, how often links to our channels (such as Discord or YouTube) are tapped and how the question about measuring ad success (section 17) is answered – again only as totals per day, without any link to your account. We also store with your game data how often you changed location faster than 60 km/h on the current day; the game does not allow more than four such changes per day. In the Android app, your device checks before each game action whether your location comes from a location-simulation app; if so, the action is rejected and counted as rejected. If there are indications of a breach of the terms of use, a person may remove your account from the leaderboards; for this we store the time and the reason until the measure is lifted or your account is deleted, and we inform you the next time you open the game. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in fair play and in limiting operating costs. You may object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR.

7. Chat

The game includes a public chat (💬 button in the action bar) with one channel shared by all players (“World”) and a separate channel for each country (“Country”). Any signed-in player can read every channel; in a country channel, only players who own plots in that country can write and react. To check this, we look up for every message whether your account owns plots there — the same per-country count that the country leaderboard uses. In addition, each alliance has its own channel (“Alliance”) that only its members can read and write in; we as operator can view it for moderation and write in it. The game also posts notes there on who founded the alliance, joined, left or was removed and who is the new leader. If the alliance is dissolved, its channel is deleted immediately. For every message we store: the message text, your player name, your level, the timestamp and — if you have them — your booked title, your booked name colour, your chosen name style and your alliance's tag, as well as the language set in the game (see “Translate” below). We do not store your user ID or the identifier described in section 6. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the chat as part of the game).

What we store when a message is reported. So that we can handle a report and evidence how we handled it, we keep a copy of the reported message: its text, the player name and level of whoever wrote it, and the timestamp. That copy is the reason for the two exceptions above — it outlasts both the 200-message limit and the deletion of the account the message came from. About you as the reporting person we store your player name and your account identifier together with your reason. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: Art. 16 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) obliges us to accept and act on reports. The data is used for that purpose only and is never visible to other players. We keep it for as long as is necessary to handle the report and to evidence how it was handled, but no longer than six months from the date the report was received. After that the entry is deleted automatically and in full. If the reported message or your reason is written in another language, we may have both translated while handling the report: only the two texts — without player names and without any identifier — are sent to Google Cloud Translation (as under “Translate” above). We do not store this translation.

If we remove something or suspend chat access. If we remove a message or bar an account from the chat, the person affected is told in the game: on their next start they are shown a statement of reasons for the measure (Art. 17 DSA). To do so we briefly store a note on the account concerned, which is deleted once it has been shown. For a chat suspension a second note is added recording the reason and — for time-limited suspensions — the end date; it is kept for as long as the suspension lasts. What applies to a chat suspension in detail is set out in clause 5 of the Terms of Use.

8. Third parties contacted when loading

When you open the app, your browser loads technically necessary resources from the following providers, each of which receives your IP address (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in a functional service):

Links to other services: In some places we link to services of other providers, for example our Discord server (in the settings, in the chat, in “Getting Started”, in “Your week” and on the contact page) or Google Play. This content is not embedded: as long as you do not tap a link, no connection to the provider is established and nothing is transmitted to it. Only when you tap it does the service open in a new tab or in its own app. From then on, that provider’s privacy policy applies; we have no influence on the processing there. In “My Account” and in your profile we also link to our channels on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Discord. For the first tap on each channel we credit you a one-time reward; for this we store on your account which channel you opened and when. We do not learn whether you subscribe to or follow anything there. This information is deleted together with your account.

You can redeem gift codes that we share, for example in videos or on Discord, in “My Account”. For this we store on your account which code you redeemed and when, and, as protection against guessing, how many unknown codes you entered on the same day. For our evaluation we only count the number of redemptions per code and day, without any link to your account. The information on your account is deleted together with your account.

9. Local storage on your device

The app stores data in your browser that is needed to run the service. It falls into three groups:

This is stored in your browser's localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB. Which entries occur in detail depends on the course of your session and may change with new versions of the app. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we place nothing on your device for evaluations — counting new accounts by channel (section 3) runs on our server; there is therefore no consent banner in the browser. Storing our own entries is necessary for the service you have requested (§ 25(2)(2) German TDDDG). The only exception is the ad video in the Android app: Google's ads SDK stores and reads its own data on your device there only after you have given consent (section 15). The same goes for measuring ad success: Google's SDK stores its own data only after your yes (section 17). We also note whether Google's consent form for ad videos has already been shown to you.

An invite code taken from a link (?ref=…) is explicitly not stored: it is read from the address bar only, used once in the redemption dialog, and is gone after a reload without that link. The same applies to a channel tag (?src=…, ?utm_source=… or ?ref=producthunt). In the Android app, the same code can also arrive via Google Play: if you go to the Play Store through an invite link, Google Play passes the code to the app after installation (the so-called install referrer). The app offers it once in the redemption dialog and only stores a note that this dialog has already been shown, not the code itself.

10. Contacting us

If you write to us by email or through the contact form at claimland.app/kontakt — for example to have your account deleted, to request access to your data or to report a chat message — we process the data you provide: your email address, the content of your message and, in the form, the subject and, if you give it, your name or player name. The sole purpose is to handle your request.

The contact form sends your input to our server at Google Firebase (section 3), which turns it into an email to our mailbox; our reply goes to the address you entered. We store neither your IP address nor any details about your device. To limit abuse we only count how many messages arrive per day in total — with no link to any person. The form does not load any third-party services.

If you report a chat message directly in the game instead, no email is involved: in that case we store your player name and your account identifier together with your reason. Details are in section 7.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your account or the game is concerned, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). If you exercise one of the rights listed in section 12, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR applies in addition, because we are legally obliged to act on it.

The messages are held by our email service provider Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, address as in section 3); a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place for this as well, and this processing may likewise take place in the USA, safeguarded as described in section 4. We delete them once your request has been settled and no statutory retention periods apply. Requests concerning your data subject rights are kept for up to three years as evidence that they were handled properly.

11. Retention and deletion

Your account and game data are kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time, in the game under Menu → Profile → "My account" tab → "Manage account" → "Delete account", as a guest under Menu → Settings → "Delete account". Alternatively, an informal email to kontakt@claimland.app is enough.

This deletes your account (including your email address, if any), your game data, your stored last position, your player name, your leaderboard entries, any chat messages of yours that still exist, your chat reactions, your membership in an alliance (you leave; if you were the last member, the alliance and its chat are dissolved), your push subscriptions (section 14) and a “Skip Ads” subscription including its receipt (we first cancel a subscription that still renews with Google; section 16). The plots you bought are not deleted but anonymised: they remain on the map as game content and can still be bought by other players, but lose any link to you — a randomly chosen pseudonym replaces your player name, and the stored purchase timestamp is deleted. This removes the personal reference entirely. For technical reasons your name may still appear in the leaderboards for up to three hours until they are rebuilt.

Guest accounts that never return contain no contact data and only the game data described above. Guest accounts without any game activity — where the page was merely opened and no plot was ever visited or bought and no player name of your own was chosen — are deleted automatically and completely after 90 days of inactivity, including the associated sign-in account. A weekly job takes care of this without any action on your part.

12. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Simply contact the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — the competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

13. Children and minors

The game is intended for players aged 16 or older. If you are younger, please only play with the consent of a parent or guardian.

When you create a full account, we ask you once whether you are 16 or older and store your answer with a timestamp. The background is Art. 8 GDPR: consent given by a person under 16 is invalid without the approval of a parent or guardian. That is why we offer consent to the public display of your player name (section 5) only to registered accounts that have given this confirmation — guest accounts and unconfirmed accounts never see the checkbox.

The prompt tells you that answering "I am 16 or older" also shows your name on your plots, and points out where to switch that off again. If you instead confirm your age later under Menu → Settings, no consent is given there; you decide yourself using the switch next to it.

If you answer "younger" or dismiss the prompt, the game remains fully playable; only your name will not appear on your plots. You can give the confirmation later at any time under Menu → Settings. If an account consented before this rule existed and does not meet the requirements, the consent is withdrawn automatically on the next start and the name is removed from its plots.

14. Reminders via push notification

If you wish, the app notifies you of seven things by push notification: the daily bonus if you have not collected it today, the diamond rent of your buildings once it is ready, lost land when another player has bought plots from you, gold to collect when your plots have earned as much as they can while you were away, and news when you have not played for a while: after seven days, once, your waiting rent or your plots; after 21 days, once, how many new players have joined since then in the country where you own the most plots, alliance invitations as soon as someone invites you to an alliance, and chat replies when someone replies to one of your messages. At most two notifications a day per reminder (daily bonus at noon and in the evening, rent once it is ready and twelve hours later), and only when there actually is something to collect; lost land at most once every ten hours, and only while you have not opened the game; gold to collect at most once every 24 hours, never at night between 10 pm and 8 am your local time, and never while you are playing; news at most twice per absence, likewise never at night and never while you are playing. An alliance invitation notifies you once per invitation, never at night between 10 pm and 8 am your local time – it then arrives at 8 am – and never while you are playing. A chat reply notifies you at most once every ten minutes per device, never at night between 10 pm and 8 am your local time (it is then skipped), and never while you are playing.

All seven are off by default. You turn them on under Menu → Settings → Reminders (or via the line "Remind me" in the respective window); your browser then asks once for permission. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time in the same place, or block notifications for claimland.app in your browser settings.

When you turn a reminder on, we store one push subscription per device with your account: the address at which your browser's push service reaches this device, two associated encryption keys, your game language, your device's time zone (for the night-time pause), which of the seven notifications you enabled, the time of the last chat reply notification, the time, the last run of the bonus reminder, the time of the last rent reminder and, for news, which absence and which stage the last notification referred to. If you own buildings, we also store the time from which the rent reminder is due. When a plot is bought from you, we also store how many plots it has been since the last notification, when the next one is due and when the last one was sent; we delete this as soon as you open the game. If you turned on "gold to collect", we store after your game session ends when the notification becomes due (six hours later) and, once it is sent, when it was sent; both are deleted no later than 24 hours after the last notification. If an alliance invitation arrives during the quiet hours, we store until 8 am when the notification is due and delete this when it is sent. The notification itself contains only a title and a text (such as the streak day, the number of diamonds, the number of lost plots, the amount of gold or the number of new players in a country along with its name), never a location, never the buyer and never your name. The exception is the alliance invitation: it names the player who invites you and the name of the alliance; a chat reply names the player who replied to you, never the text of the message. The number of new players comes from the daily figures (section 6) and names no one individually.

Delivery runs through the push service of your browser's vendor — Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) for Chrome and Android, Mozilla for Firefox, Apple for Safari. That service sees your device's address but not the content: the message is encrypted between our server and your browser. It is triggered by our Cloud Functions (section 3); a server job checks twice a day, every three hours or every 15 minutes whether there is something to report for accounts with a notification enabled.

In the Android app, delivery runs through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging. Instead of the address and keys, we store a device identifier from Firebase (FCM token) there; Android asks for permission when you turn a reminder on, and you can block it in Android's app settings. Unlike in the browser, the message is not additionally encrypted on this route: Google sees the title and text (such as the streak day, the number of diamonds, the number of lost plots, the amount of gold or the number of new players in a country), never a location and never your name, so for an alliance invitation also the inviting player's name and the alliance name.

In the iPhone app, delivery also runs through Firebase Cloud Messaging, which passes the message on to the Apple Push Notification service; Apple delivers it to your iPhone. Here too we store only the FCM token. iOS asks for permission when you turn a reminder on, and you can block it in your iPhone's settings under “Notifications”. As in the Android app, the message is not additionally encrypted on this route: Google and Apple see the title and text, never a location and never your name, so for an alliance invitation also the inviting player's name and the alliance name.

The subscription is deleted when you turn all seven notifications off, when your browser declares the address invalid, when you delete your account (section 11), and during the automatic clean-up of inactive guest accounts. We do not use it for advertising or analytics.

15. Ad videos in the Android app (Google AdMob)

In the Android app, after a break you can choose to watch a short ad video in the “Welcome back” window; in return you get the gold your plots earned during the break a second time. Likewise, in the “Diamonds” window you can watch an ad video up to twice a day and each time get diamonds; how many depends on your buildings, at least one. In the “Income” window you can also watch an ad video up to twice a day and get, right away, as much gold as your plots earn in 30 minutes. In the “Daily” window you can swap the hard task for a different one once a day after an ad video. If you have visited a great many plots in one day, you can keep visiting after an ad video; for the first of these videos each day you also get as much gold as your plots earn in 10 minutes. While your income is resting (only part of it counts), you can get 30 minutes of full income after an ad video, up to six times a day. This option does not exist in the browser. As long as you do not open a window with one of these buttons, the app does not start Google's ads SDK at all and sends Google nothing for it. If you open one, the app starts the SDK right then so that the video comes faster after your tap; the video itself only loads after your tap.

The videos are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, address as in section 3; processing also by Google LLC in the USA, safeguarded as described in section 4). Once started, Google's ads SDK processes in particular your IP address, the advertising ID of your Android device, device and app information (such as model, operating system, language) and how you interact with the ad. Google uses this data to serve, measure and bill ads and to prevent fraud, and processes it for these purposes as an independent controller.

Additional ad network: so that more providers bid for a video, AdMob also lets Unity Ads (Unity Technologies, USA) bid. For this, a component from Unity is built into the app. It only starts together with Google's ads SDK and then processes the same kinds of data (IP address, advertising ID, device and app information, how you interact with the ad). If Unity wins the bid, Unity serves the video. Unity processes this data as an independent controller, also in the USA, under its privacy policy: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy. The consent below also applies to Unity.

Consent: before the first video, Google's consent form asks whether Google may store and read information on your device and show you personalised ads. If you decline, you get non-personalised or limited ads where Google offers them. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) German TDDDG). You can change or withdraw it at any time under Menu → Settings → Ads → “Ads”. If you have not confirmed in the age check (section 13) that you are 16 or older, you never get personalised ads: the app marks your requests to Google as those of a person under the age of consent. We only allow ads that Google rates as suitable for all ages.

What we store ourselves: after a break, we create an offer for the video — a random number, your account identifier, the bonus in gold and the time. Only the random number is sent to Google; Google reports it back to our server after the video so that we can credit the bonus. Google does not learn your account identifier, your player name or your location from us. An offer expires after 15 minutes and is replaced by the next one; the last credit (random number, amount, time) stays on your account until the next one. The same applies to the videos in the “Diamonds” and “Income” windows, with the diamond instead of the gold in the “Diamonds” window; in addition, we count on your account, per window, how many of them you watched today (date and number). For the task swap, instead of an amount we store which task is to be swapped and which one you received, with your tasks of the day. For keeping on visiting, we note on your account the day you last received the gold bonus. For the full-income video, instead of an amount we store the time from which it applies and count the videos of the day. We delete all of this together with your account (section 11). The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (crediting the in-game reward).

If you have the “Skip Ads” subscription (section 16), the app loads no ad videos and does not start the advertising SDK for the videos; Google AdMob then receives no data via the videos.

Google's privacy policy and the information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites apply in addition.

16. Purchases and subscription in the Android app (Google Play)

In the Android app you can choose to buy a “coffee” for the developer in the shop (a cup, a pot or a golden cup). The purchase gives no in-game advantage. It is not available in the browser.

Payment via Google Play: The purchase is processed by Google Play (Google Ireland Limited or Google Commerce Limited, Ireland; processing also by Google LLC in the USA, safeguarded as described in section 4). You only enter payment details such as a card or account with Google; we never see them. Google processes your purchase and payment data under its own responsibility according to its privacy policy.

What we store ourselves: So that each purchase counts exactly once, the app passes an irreversibly encrypted (hashed) identifier of your account to Google when you buy, and then sends the purchase receipt to our server. The server checks the receipt with Google and stores a check record for it: a hash of the receipt, your account identifier, the product, the time and the status (open, counted, cancelled, refunded). Your account shows how often you bought each size. We do not store the receipt itself. If Google refunds a purchase, Google tells us and we remove it from the count. We also count how many purchases there were per day and size – without reference to individual accounts.

“Skip Ads” subscription: In the Android app you can also take out the “Skip Ads” subscription, which gives you the rewards of the ad videos without watching them (Section 4b of the Terms of Use). Here too the app passes the hashed identifier of your account to Google when you subscribe and sends the receipt to our server, and here too we see no payment details. Unlike the coffee, we store the receipt (an identifier Google gives the subscription): we need it to acknowledge the subscription with Google, to check its status regularly and to cancel it for you when you delete your account. For this we store a hash of the receipt, your account identifier, the product, the status (such as active, cancelled, payment pending, paused, expired, refunded), the expiry time, whether it renews, and the times it was taken out and last checked. Your account also shows how many videos you skipped in the current month. Google notifies us of changes to the subscription (renewal, cancellation, expiry, refund) on its own; in addition, we check subscriptions with Google once a day shortly before and after they expire. We count per day how many subscriptions were taken out, renewed, cancelled, ended or refunded and how many rewards were collected without a video – without reference to individual accounts. If you cancel in the game via “Cancel subscription here”, we store the time of cancellation on your account and send the confirmation to your email address; if you cancel for good cause, your reason is sent by email to our inbox together with your player name, email address and account identifier so that we can review it and reply to you. If you delete your account, we first cancel a subscription that still renews with Google; we then delete the receipt, status and counters together with your account.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing the purchase or subscription). We delete check records and the count together with your account (section 11). Google provides us with settlement reports that list, among other things, the order number, product, price and country or region of each purchase; we keep these for the periods required by tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, section 147 of the German Fiscal Code).

17. Measuring ad success (Android app only, Google Analytics for Firebase)

Only in the Android app, and only if you expressly agree, the app reports a few game events to Google Analytics for Firebase. This lets us see whether our ads on Google bring players who actually play; Google can target the ads accordingly. There is no such measurement in the browser.

Who is asked: Everyone with an account who is 16 or older; your answer from the age check (section 13) applies. The question appears once per device as a notice card, right after you secure your account or after a purchase. Guests are not asked. If you gave your age on the card and agreed as a guest before 31 October 2026, that yes stays valid until you withdraw it; the age answer is then stored only on your device. Without an answer, with “No thanks” or with ✕, measurement stays off; this has no downside in the game. Anyone under 16 is neither asked nor measured. Until you say yes, measurement is switched off in the app.

What goes to Google: a random identifier of the app installation (app instance ID), the advertising ID of your Android device and these six events: account secured (only if you agree beforehand as a guest or right afterwards), level 5 reached, level 10 reached, first building built, played on a second day, played on seven days. In addition, Firebase itself records the first launch, the start of a session and app updates, as well as device information (model, operating system, language, app version) and a rough origin derived from the IP address (country, region). Your player name, account ID, email address, location, plots and gold are not transmitted. The app reports each event at most once per device; events before your yes are never sent later.

Recipient at Google: Google Ireland Limited (address as in section 3); processing also by Google LLC in the USA, safeguarded as in section 4. Google makes the results available to us and our Google Ads account. The events can also be used there to build audiences (for example “reached level 5”), which we use to show ads for ClaimLand on Google to you or to people with similar play behaviour. The “Google signals” feature is switched off. Google deletes the data after 2 months.

On your device the app stores your answer, where applicable your age answer from the card, which events have already been reported and the number of play days since your yes. We store nothing about this on our servers.

Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time under Menu → Settings → Ads → “Measure ads”; the app then switches measurement off immediately and deletes Google's app instance ID on your device. Data already transmitted stays with Google until the retention period ends.

Podstawa prawna: art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO — prawnie uzasadniony interes w tym, by wiedzieć, jakimi drogami nowi gracze trafiają do ClaimLand.

4. Konto i logowanie (Firebase Authentication)

6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO).

6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO. Do samego logowania w Google mają zastosowanie polityka prywatności i warunki Google.

6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO. Do samego logowania w Apple mają zastosowanie polityka prywatności i warunki Apple.

6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO. Do samych Gier Google Play mają zastosowanie polityka prywatności i warunki Google.

6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO (dostęp do twojego konta). Dodatkowo zapisujemy przy twoim koncie moment ostatniego takiego żądania, aby ograniczyć liczbę wysyłek (art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO — prawnie uzasadniony interes w ochronie przed nadużyciami).

Jeśli przy podawaniu adresu zrobiłeś literówkę albo chcesz go zmienić z innego powodu, możesz to zrobić samodzielnie w grze w Profil → Moje konto.

Następnie wysyłamy ci wiadomość z potwierdzeniem; dopiero twoje kliknięcie na stronie, do której prowadzi link, włącza wysyłkę (double opt-in). Podstawą prawną jest twoja zgoda (art. 6 ust. 1 lit. a RODO, § 7 ust. 2 pkt 2 niemieckiej ustawy UWG).

6. Dane gry i profilu

Podstawa prawna: art. 6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO (mechanika gry).

Zaproś znajomych: Do twojego konta należy losowy kod zaproszenia. Jeśli ktoś wykorzysta twój kod, do czasu wypłaty nagrody zapisujemy przyporządkowanie, kto kogo zaprosił, oraz dwa liczniki (ile zaproszeń wykorzystano i ile nagrodzono).

Podstawa prawna: art. 6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO (mechanika gry).

6 ust. 1 lit. a RODO).

9. Lokalne przechowywanie danych na twoim urządzeniu

Aplikacja zapisuje w twojej przeglądarce dane potrzebne do jej działania.

6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO, o ile sprawa dotyczy twojego konta lub gry, a w pozostałym zakresie art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO (prawnie uzasadniony interes w odpowiadaniu na zapytania). Jeśli dochodzisz jednego z praw wymienionych w sekcji 12, dochodzi art. 6 ust. 1 lit. c RODO, ponieważ jesteśmy prawnie zobowiązani do rozpatrzenia sprawy.

11. Okres przechowywania i usuwanie

Dane twojego konta i gry pozostają zapisane, dopóki istnieje twoje konto. Konto możesz w każdej chwili usunąć samodzielnie: w grze w Menu → Profil → zakładka „Moje konto” → „Zarządzaj kontem” → „Usuń konto”, a jako gość w Menu → Ustawienia → „Usuń konto”.

13. Dzieci i młodzież

Wynika to z art.

6 ust. 1 lit. a RODO).

Jeśli zaproszenie do sojuszu przyjdzie w czasie ciszy nocnej, do godziny 8 zapisujemy, kiedy powiadomienie jest należne, i usuwamy to wraz z wysyłką.

Zamiast adresu i kluczy zapisujemy tam identyfikator urządzenia Firebase (token FCM); Android pyta przy włączeniu o zgodę, a zablokować ją możesz w ustawieniach aplikacji w Androidzie.

Uruchamia się on tylko razem z reklamowym SDK Google i przetwarza wtedy te same rodzaje danych (adres IP, identyfikator reklamowy, informacje o urządzeniu i aplikacji, interakcję z reklamą).

6 ust. 1 lit. a RODO, § 25 ust. 1 TDDDG).

Wszystko to usuwamy razem z twoim kontem (sekcja 11). Podstawą prawną jest tu art. 6 ust. 1 lit. b RODO (przyznanie nagrody w grze).

Serwer sprawdza potwierdzenie w Google i zapisuje w związku z tym adnotację kontrolną: hash potwierdzenia, oznaczenie twojego konta, produkt, czas i status (otwarty, zliczony, anulowany, zwrócony). Jeśli Google zwróci pieniądze za zakup, informuje nas o tym, a my usuwamy go z liczenia.

Liczymy dziennie, ile subskrypcji wykupiono, przedłużono, wypowiedziano, zakończono lub zwrócono i ile nagród odebrano bez filmu – bez odniesienia do poszczególnych kont.

6 ust. 1 lit. a RODO, § 25 ust. 1 TDDDG). Możesz ją w każdej chwili wycofać w Menu → Ustawienia → Reklamy → „Pomiar reklam”; aplikacja natychmiast wyłączy wtedy pomiar i usunie identyfikator instancji aplikacji Google na twoim urządzeniu. Dane już przekazane pozostają u Google do końca okresu przechowywania.

18. Zmiany niniejszej polityki
